The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 8 additional academic programmes of the Baze University, Abuja.
A statement made available to Youths’ Digest by the Registrar of the university, Inuwa Idris, said the accredited programmes include courses in the Faculties of Medical Sciences and Environmental Sciences.
The courses which were accredited are as follows; Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Estate Management, Building, Surveying and Geo-Informatics, Quantity Surveying.
Other programmes that received accreditation include Human Anatomy and Human Physiology.
The statement further reads that ”With this development, prospective students with 2016/2017 Academic session JAMB results can now apply for admission into baze Univesity to study any of these approved programmes beginning in May 2017.”
It added that ”Students who are already enrolled into Baze University but wish to change their course of study to any of these new programmes can apply for a change of course by the semester that begins in May 2017. Such students should however note that they will be required to begin the new programme of their choice from 100 level.”
Youths’ Digest recalls that Baze University was granted a FULL OPERATIONAL LICENSE by the National Universities Commission to operate as a private university in 2016 having completed its probationary period.
